This photo does not capture just how grandiose, beautiful, and serene Denali is. Denali means “The Great One” in Athabascan. Denali mountain (aka Mt McKinley) is the tallest mountain in the world from base to summit, reaching 28,000 ft. Mt Everest reaches the highest elevation (from ocean-level to summit), but it’s height from it’s actual base to summit is only 22,000 ft. Amazing!
