things to get you through the day…


it’s smack-dab in the middle of a “no carb” day. what i have discovered is that even my favorite veggies have carbs… at the moment, i am not sure if it is possible to honestly have a “0” carb day unless all you eat is protein and fat. i am sure for many out there, you knew that. well, good for you, i did not quite clue in to the extent of carbs.

i’m not sure how many carbs are acceptable on my “no carb” day. i think i will easily make it to about 70g by the time i go to bed tonight, with all my cauliflower, spinach, sweet bell peppers, and my canned peaches (hey – only 15 g carb – gimme a break!) . . . I hope this is well within what is acceptable.

on the note of satiety, i find today is actually not too bad. i allowed myself the peaches, but otherwise i have been fine without cereal, oatmeal, bread, pasta, potatoes, etc. of course the true test for me always comes between 5pm and 9pm – we shall wait and see!
