we made it to puerto viejo! not without some exciting adventures though…
we got up at 3:00am on Saturday morning to get to the airport for 4:55am. Did you know they won’t let you into customs any earlier than 2 hours before your flight? this caused a lovely bottleneck… and it took us almost 90mins to check in, go through customs, and go through security. whew – what a cluster.
we arrived at Dallas Fort Worth airport 4 hours later. normally, i wouldn’t include this part of the journey, but… jamie and i sat down to have a coffee, and we were talking about books to read on the trip. he said, “hey, i have something for you to read!” here I am thinking, “Oh, great, what does Jamie have up his sleeve *this* time?”Ā Ā He pulled a small booklet out of his camera bag. I thought he was making me read his Nikon DSLR manual and I was pissed. Then I read the cover, and it was for a Sony Cybershot RX100. Which is weird, because Jamie and I both have Nikon’s.
And then it clicked.
JAMIE BOUGHT ME A NEW CAMERA!
ANyway, this camera is frickin amazing so I started playing around with it. I took a lot of photos… including a lot of the back of the seat in front of me in the airplane (so I could test it taking a shaded and lit image) – but I chose to delete those š
Enjoy!
